The Western United weekend wrap up is a quick-fire around the grounds summary of results from our NPL 3 men’s and NPLW women’s teams.

This report sums up the games from the weekend ending Sunday 25 April 2021.

NPL 3 – Western United Academy Teams

The NPL teams took on Ballarat City at the Ballarat Regional Soccer Facility on Saturday afternoon.

NPL 3 Under 23’s team

Final score: 6-1 Win

Goal scorers: N. Milanovic x3, J. Skotadis, A. Bayew, M. Ayom (P).

NPL 3 Under 21’s team

Final score: 3-0 Win

Goal scorers: X. Norton 20′,  A. Walatee 21′,  Z. Kocankovski 87′.

NPLW – Calder United FC

Our women, Calder United, continued their season with two wins on Saturday against Bayside United FC. This was an impressive performance, given both teams were in Tasmania on Thursday for the McDonald’s Festival Of Football with the men’s A-League team.

NPLW Senior team

Final score: 4-0 Win

Goal scorers: A. Sinclair 9′, 59′, 75′, H. Withers 61′.

NPLW Girls Under 19’s team

Calder United U19 team

Final score: 4-1 Win

Goal scorers: A. Cerne 62′,  S. Cappola 65′, E. Talevski 62′, M. Mathews 87′.

McDonald’s Festival Of Football at UTAS Stadium, Launceston – Thursday 22 April 2021

Our Calder United teams travelled to Launceston on Thursday to take on Tasmania’s representative sides as part of the Festival Of Football event. Our senior team were 3-0 winners while our U19’s side won 5-1.
