The pair have been roomies on Western United away trips in 2020 and now Josh Risdon and Max Burgess have another thing in common.
On the back of a rampant United winning consecutive games 6-2 and 5-1 over the last fortnight, the duo of Green and Black stars have been named in consecutive FIFA 20 TOTW selections.

Risdon joined Liverpool’s Sadio Mane and Juventus star Aaron Ramsey in the FIFA 20 Team of the Week.

In a superb all-round performance, Risdon sparkled down United’s right and his hat-trick of assists was just one less than the Hyundai A-League record of four in a single match, notched by Melbourne Victory’s Fred against Adelaide United in the 2007 Grand Final.
“Obviously exciting and an honour,” Risdon told www.wufc.com.au after a blowup of his Fifa shield was presented to him at training on Thursday.
“To win it after Max won it last week was pretty special.
“It was great to see Western United making some history in the A-League by getting in two weeks running and getting great recognition around the world.”
