Off-contract English-born Kaine Sheppard has signed with Western United until the end of the current 2020/21 season.
The 27-year-old joins the team having previously played for A-League team Newcastle Jets.
“Kaine is well-known to the coaching staff from his time in the A-League and the Victorian NPL and he will add another attacking option to the team for the remainder of the season,” said General Manager of Football, Ante Kovacevic.
“Most recently Kaine has been plying his trade with Hume City FC and we thank them for their cooperation through the process.”
Sheppard moved to Australia in 2014 and has also previously played for Finnish Veikkausliiga club SJK and Victorian NPL teams Heidelberg United and Avondale FC.
