Western United announce squad for Melbourne Victory clash

Thumbnail

Western United will head east on Saturday night to take on Hyundai A-League giants Melbourne Victory for the first time ever.

The round 4 clash at Marvel Stadium is set to be a blockbuster derby with both sides sitting on four points and a goal difference of zero.

It will be United’s second game against Victorian opposition in as many weeks after it took on Melbourne City last Sunday in Geelong.

Victory meanwhile recorded their first win of the season against Brisbane Roar last Friday thanks to a first-half Andrew Nabbout goal.

The Victory winger, however, will miss this week’s game through a hamstring injury he picked up in the win.
