Western United is pleased to announce it will be continuing its partnership with Victoria University (VU) Polytechnic during the 2020/21 A-League season.

Western United CEO Chris Pehlivanis said he was delighted that the partnership is continuing in the Club’s second year.

“We share the same aspirations as VU Polytechnic in wanting to shape a brighter future for Melbourne’s west and the greater western region of Victoria,” Pehlivanis said.

“We look forward to continuing to strive towards our mutual goals in our second season.”

Victoria University Polytechnic offers a range of TAFE sport programs for sport-focused students, including diplomas and certificates in sport and recreation, sport development, fitness, and remedial massage.

Grant Dreher, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Vocational Education and Pathways said he was looking forward to developing more opportunities for students and staff to get involved with the Green and Black.

“Western United Football Club’s inaugural season was one to remember,” Dreher said.

“The newest club in the A-League signed up over 5000 members, making it all the way to the finals, showing that through adversity and unity, that the club could achieve anything.

“Victoria University Polytechnic is delighted to be continuing to partner with Western United FC into 2021.

“As the club grows, we are excited to be developing opportunities for our students and staff to get involved and support the team of the west flourish.”
