Western United Injury Update

Risdon

Western United can provide an injury update on full-backs Josh Risdon and Dalibor Markovic.

Risdon, who was substituted off in the first half of United’s 2-0 win over Newcastle Jets on May 26, has picked up an unfortunate foot injury that will see him face a stint on the sidelines.

“Josh Risdon has undergone successful surgery to repair an injury to his midfoot,” Club Doctor Anthony Hipsley said.

“He is recovering well at home and will return to competitive football in six to eight weeks.”

Markovic, who was able to finish the game against Newcastle after coming on in the 82nd minute, is set to be unavailable for the next month.

“Dalibor has sustained an injury to multiple ligaments in his ankle and will not be available for at least three weeks,” Hipsley said.

The club wishes both Risdon and Markovic all the best in their recovery and is looking forward to their returns.
