Leading in to Western United’s first home game in the Hyundai A-League at GMHBA Stadium, the club is pleased to announce Tasman Logistics Services as presenting partner of its Chairman’s Club.

Like Western United, Tasman Logistics Services are a growing local story in Western Melbourne.

A key logistics provider to Australian and global brands, the company operates four large facilities all based in the west, including two bases in Derrimut and Brooklyn.

The company employs in excess of 250 people, with a diverse service offering from wharf cartage, specialised construction logistics, tras-bass forwarding local and interstate transport, heavy haulage and 3PL warehousing.

“We are delighted to have Tasman Logistics Services partner with our club. Like us, they are based in the West of Melbourne and are passionate about what they do. We look forward to having them as presenting partner of our new Chairman’s Club,” said Western United CEO Chris Pehlivanis.

Tasman Logistics Services’ CEO Ivan Vanis is also from a football family, his father Vlado was an accomplished player and coach in Melbourne’s west.

This combined with Tasman Logistics Services’ strong local footprint and Western United’s growing brand in the region, made it an easy decision to partner.

“We are proud to partner with Western United in their inaugural season and are looking forward to being a part of the team’s success in the years to come.

“It never felt right following any existing A-League teams, however when United was announced it felt perfect due to not only the location, but also the people behind the club.

“We have built a quality business from the ground up over the years and it feels special to be a partner of Western United and being a part of the journey ahead,” Vanis said.

Western United’s Chairman’s Club is set to become a leader in sport and business, connecting business on game days with networking opportunities at the impressive GMHBA Stadium, Geelong.

After Western United’s historic first win in the A-League on Sunday, the club’s first home game is this Saturday October 19 at GMHBA Stadium.
