Western United are proud to support Steven Lustica and his new and exciting football training program, Lustica Football.
With a season suspended and time on his hands, Lustica is keeping busy with his new business initiative supporting his two passions, football and teaching.
Lustica Football will focus on 1-on-1 and group sessions, position-specific training, and player monitoring.
After the program’s launch, the United midfielder expressed his passion for coaching young players and is keen to pass his deep knowledge onto Australia’s next generation of footballers.
“I’ve always had a passion for teaching the technical aspects of football to young players,” Lustica told wufc.com.au.
“I’ve had experience presenting skill sessions to schools and junior clubs and my passion grew during these visits as I could see the enjoyment and improvement in the young players.
“Having played in Europe and Asia I have been exposed to many different aspects of coaching. I have seen how the best academies in Europe prepare young players for a professional future in the game.
“I have developed my own skills program based on my experiences and will be able to demonstrate this to young players where they will not only improve their technical skills but also enjoy it to a level where they will love the game of football even more.
The program offers a variety of packages ranging from single sessions to eight-session packages, with Western United members receiving 10% off the package of their choice.
Lustica added: “It’s very important to stay active in these tough times and now with no team sport being played I want to encourage young aspiring players to stay active and continue working on their skills.
“During this time of isolation it’s also essential for players’ mental health to remain physically active. In sport the mental aspect is just as important as the physical.”
