Live sport heating up in Melbourne as stars join the battle of the bridge

Stars unite for the battle of the bridge

Live sport is back in Melbourne with soccer, AFL, netball, basketball and tennis stars uniting ahead of what Western United are dubbing ‘the battle of the bridge’ tomorrow night at AAMI Park.

Western United captain Alessandro Diamanti was joined in a show of support by Collingwood captain Scott Pendlebury, Melbourne Vixens co-captain Liz Watson, Melbourne United captain Chris Goulding and Australian Open tennis player Thanasi Kokkinakis.

The stars showed they were on board the green and black ahead of Saturday’s A-League clash at AAMI Park against their rivals in blue.

Saturday night is set to be a different match experience to other A-League matches, with a great night of sport and entertainment on the agenda including international DJ Yo! Mafia playing her well known RNB Friday’s mix to energise the crowd ahead of kick-off.

Fans will experience live sport in new, Covid safe environments, with AAMI Park enacting strict Covid Safe procedures. Details can be found on our website.

It’s the west against the rest this Saturday. Show your support on social media by using the hashtag #battleofthebridge.
