Heading to Geelong for Western United’s match against Western Sydney Wanderers this Saturday?

Transport

If you’re travelling from Melbourne, catching a V-Line train is an efficient way of getting to the game.

Before the match:

An additional train will depart from Southern Cross at 5.30 pm, stopping at:

  • Footscray at 5.37 pm
  • Sunshine at 5.42 pm
  • Tarneit at 5.54 pm
  • Wyndham Vale at 6.00 pm
  • Lara at 6.12 pm
  • North Geelong at 6.19 pm
  • Geelong at 6.26 pm 
  • Arrives at South Geelong at 6.30 pm.

Other services depart Southern Cross at 5.07, 5.41, 5.46, and 5.56 pm

The journey to South Geelong station is approximately one hour.

From there, it’s a 3-minute walk to GMHBA Stadium.

After the match:

An additional train will depart from South Geelong at 9.50 pm, stopping at:

  • Geelong at 21.53 pm
  • North Geelong at 21.56 pm
  • Lara  at 22.04 pm
  • Wyndham Vale at 22.15 pm
  • Tarneit at 22.21 pm
  • Sunshine at 22.35 pm
  • Footscray at 22.41 pm
  • Arrives Southern Cross at 22.53 pm

Other services will depart from South Geelong at 9.39, 10.14 and 10.59 pm

GMHBA Stadium

Parking

Public parking inside the stadium is available for $10 and is located at car parks A4, A5 and C7. Parking opens at 5.30 pm.

Car parking can be accessed from:

  • Entrance A: via Kilgour Street
  • Entrance C: via Park Crescent
  • Entrance E: via The City end of Moorabool Street (accessible parking only) All corporate guests parking in A3 will be required to enter via Entrance B – Latrobe Terrace.

Parking around GMHBA Stadium is limited. Please note council restrictions are enforced on surrounding streets.

Pre-match commemorations

There will be several commemorations before kick-off in and outside GMHBA Stadium.

An Australian Defence Force (ADF) Guard of Honour will take place prior to kick-off.

The Returned and Services League (RSL) will have activations at entrance gates with a Poppy Appeal drive where fans can purchase a poppy.

ADF and RSL members will be able to pick up a free ticket to the match at the community marquee outside Gate 13.

Membership

The Western United membership tent will be located outside Gate 13 of GMHBA Stadium from 6.15 pm.

Merchandise

Merchandise stores will be located inside the Players Stand and the Reg Hickey Stand.

The merchandise trailer will be located outside Gate 13.

Long-sleeve home and away jerseys will be on sale for the first time, as well as the latest stock of hoodies.

WU WU Hangout

The WU WU Hangout is located outside Gate 13 of GMHBA Stadium.

Kids can have a kick with the Western United inflatables, get their face painted and take part in other activities.

4 Pines Activation

The 4 Pines Beer truck will be located inside Gate 5 of GMHBA Stadium.
