Geelong Rural to help raise funds this Sunday at Western United’s match in Geelong

Local business Geelong Rural will be helping raise funds for Rural Aid this Sunday at Western United’s match against the Central Coast Mariners in Geelong.

Machinery will be donated by Geelong Rural as part of the activations taking place around GMHBA Stadium.

A tractor will be inside Gate 5 on the day for kids to check out and sit in. It will have a large grain bag attached at the front, which fans can throw gold coin donations in.

Geelong Rural Director Amanda Davies was thankful to Western United for helping raise funds for Rural Aid.

“We thank you for assisting in spreading the word and encouraging the locals to bring the kids to a free A-League soccer match and raising money for Rural Aid,” Davies said.

All money raised on the day by Geelong Rural will be donated to Rural Aid – a charity organization assisting farmers affected by the current fires and drought.

The other recognized charity partner Western United will be directing funds to is The Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Appeal.
