Macedonia Park

The Lions Den is a purpose built soccer complex for the Illawarra and South Coast region and the people of the community. Located in Berkeley, between Hooker Creek Road and the F6 freeway, the 42 acres of land was named in respect to the Macedonian community, Macedonia Park.

The ground is in clear view of south-bound traffic on the F6 freeway. The RTA has reported that more than 70,000 vehicles a week utilise the freeway which offers exposure to all our corporate advertising in and around the premises to be displayed and viewed by the passing traffic.

Macedonia Park offers the ultimate in a purpose built soccer complex, however, further, on-going developments are essential. At present, the complex has:

* A club house, including canteen, bar (with liquor license), tables & chairs.
* Incomplete grandstand for 3,000 seats (approx.), including corporate boxes.
* 2 x International size fields (FIFA compliant).
* Car park for a minimum of 2000 vehicles.

Endless hours of voluntary labour and ‘man-power’ have gone into developing the complex with many parents and trades people providing their valuable time and efforts in guiding the completion of the complex.

The complex will continually be in use throughout the year to provide training and playing facilities for our Club. Our talented and professional coaching staff have plans to provide coaching clinics, which will be open to all interested kids, during the school holidays. The club aims to further develop Macedonia Park to a standard fit for international level fixtures, but more imperatively, for the children of our future!
